Mark's Pro Background
Mark was born and raised in New Holland, Pennsylvania and got his start in tennis around the age of 14 years old. He became inspired to learn and love the game of tennis after visiting the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Rhode Island, with his uncle. Following that visit, and during his junior years of tennis, Mark was mostly “self-taught”, with additional support from a few local players that helped to push his game forward and motivated him to improve. He had great success as a junior and won several 18 and under junior level tournaments. Mark continues to compete at the adult level, and has several tournament wins under his belt as an adult. Perhaps the highlight of Mark’s tennis career was his journey to USTA 4.5 Nationals in Arlington, Texas in 2018. While Mark is a fantastic tennis player, he has now established himself as an equally fantastic tennis coach. He began coaching in the Spring of 2021 under the leadership of Ben Zink and has gained invaluable experience. He is a PTR certified teaching pro. Mark’s favorite aspect of coaching is seeing the “lightbulb” moment when a player is able to add and understand something new about the game of tennis. We are thrilled to have Mark joining us on the tennis courts of RCW!
See What Others are Saying about Working with Mark:
“Mark is one of the most versatile teaching pros out there. He can teach 3 year olds all the way up to adult players! My almost 4-year-old has been taking consistent weekly lessons for almost a year and the fact that Mark can make learning vital tennis skills so fun and captivating for that age group is amazing! My son looks forward to his weekly lesson and asks everyday if it's a tennis day!"
