Milan's Pro Background

Originally from Belgrade, Serbia, Milan Jankovic brings a strong international playing background and high-level coaching experience to RCW Athletic Club.

Milan began playing tennis at age 11 and was first introduced to coaching at 16 through summer camp programs. After moving to Germany with his family at age 14, he continued developing his game before coming to the United States to play collegiate tennis at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. During his collegiate career, Milan reached a career-high national ranking of No. 15 in doubles in NCAA Division II.

After graduating from Mercyhurst, Milan gained valuable coaching experience at a country club in Middleburg, Virginia, and later at Seaview Tennis Club in Palm Beach, Florida. In both roles, he worked with junior players, adult players of all levels, and USTA ladies’ teams.

Milan went on to complete his MBA in Global Supply Chain at the University of Indianapolis, where he also served as the Assistant Coach for the men’s and women’s tennis teams from August 2023 through June 2025. During his time with the program, the men’s team reached a No. 1 national ranking in NCAA Division II, both the men’s and women’s teams won conference and regional championships, and the men’s team advanced to the NCAA National Championship quarterfinals in both seasons.

Most recently, Milan returned to Seaview Tennis Club in Palm Beach, where he served as head coach for one of the club’s ladies’ teams and led the team to a division championship. While in Palm Beach, he also had the opportunity to work alongside Dominik Hrbaty, a former ATP Top 10 player, gaining valuable insight into the highest levels of the sport.

Milan joined RCW in May 2026 and is USPTA Certified. He is excited to bring his experience, energy, and passion for player development to the RCW tennis community!
